Barbara Justice is a visual artist and an art instructor. Her research and studio practice revolve around photographic arts and includes examining areas of book arts, printmaking, archival preservation and historical techniques, drawing, collage, digital fabrication, creative writing, and community-based art projects.
Barbara teaches visual art at many levels which includes instructing at UW-Madison, Madison Area Technical College, Madison West High School, Santa Reparata International School of Art in Florence, Italy and UW-Green Bay. Her artwork is exhibited regionally, nationally, and globally. She is a member of Society for Photographic Education, Southern Graphics Council International and Film Shooters Collective. Barbara is from Southern New Mexico and far west Texas. She completed her MFA from University of Wisconsin-Madison and her BFA from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
