The Spaces We Queer, 2021
The Spaces We Queer is an ongoing photographic series inspired by living through stages of the pandemic with my partner. The intimacy and privacy of our shared space made me realize the importance of a "safe" space, a term which has been used by marginalized communities for decades, but now has become common term for a location that is free from harms of the virus. With this body of work, I am interested in documenting shared queer experience defined by personal objects, parenthood, privacy, domesticity, landscape, presence, absence, tenderness, and reciprocal inhabitance.
